WJCS is one of the largest human service agencies in Westchester. Founded in 1943, it serves 20,000 individuals of all ages and backgrounds each year, helping them to address and overcome emotional, educational, physical, social, and financial challenges. WJCS's 80+ programs include: early literacy education, after-school enrichment, anti-bullying initiatives, LGBTQ youth and family support, individual and group parenting counseling, social activities, advocacy,career support, and community residential care for individuals with disabilities and on the autism spectrum, trauma treatment for sexual and domestic abuse victims, geriatric care management, specialty care for Alzheimer’s patients and their caregivers, bereavement counseling, and much more. WJCS also offers educational, spiritual, recreational, and mental health initiatives at more than 40 local synagogues, Jewish community centers, day schools and geriatric centers.
