Créée par CNR (la Compagnie Nationale du Rhône) et Erik Orsenna, l'association "Initiatives pour l’Avenir des Grands Fleuves" (IAGF) est un lieu d’échange original et de haut niveau entre gestionnaires de fleuves, représentants institutionnels (organismes de bassin, tutelles nationales) et experts internationaux (climatologue, anthropologue, économiste, historien, archéologue…). L'objectif : imaginer le fleuve de demain, par une approche intégrée et partager les savoirs et les pratiques pour mettre en place des solutions innovantes. A travers cette approche pluridisciplinaire, internationale et ancrée sur les territoires, IAGF souhaite contribuer à enrichir les débats nationaux et internationaux autour de la transition énergétique et de l’établissement d’un monde durable. -- Founded at the initiative of CNR (la Compagnie Nationale du Rhône) and Erik Orsenna, the NGO “Initiatives for the Future of Great Rivers” (IFGR) provides an original forum of high level dialogue between river managers, institutional representatives (basin managers, national supervisory authorities) and international experts (climatologist, anthropologist, economist, historian, archaeologist, etc.). The aim is to imagine the future of the River, with an integrated approach and the share of knowledge and practises in order to launch innovative solutions. By taking this multidisciplinary and international approach rooted in the territories, IFGR wants to contribute to enriching national and international debates on energy transition and building a sustainable world.
