The AV Club Productions, Inc. started as a live performance troupe focused on doing the most technologically advanced live improv comedy shows ever produced. We created and ran several new forms of "techprov", as we dubbed it, before eventually moving towards video production. Currently we are focused on creating original short films and episodic series for the web, with several available already and more in various stages of production. We do occasionally produce live shows and events, and have collaborated with other prominent web groups similar to us on live and filmed projects, as well as providing our services as a for-hire production company. But that is not who we are, that is just what we do. The AV Club is quite a large group of comedians, actors, filmmakers, and technicians with backgrounds in theater, film, television, and "new media". Each of our live shows requires a large cast and crew, and most of our videos are produced like short films, which means a lot of members have been involved throughout the past few years. Here at the AV Club we are constantly looking for new ways to harness our skills and areas of expertise to develop new and original ideas.
