As an institution of higher learning, KeMU’s mission is to contribute to the transformation of our society by providing high quality education that promotes excellence in scholarship, research and selfless service to the community. The university seeks to ensure this access to education is guaranteed to all regardless of work commitments, geographical distance, or prior learning experiences, and that university education is tailored to meet the needs of a fast-moving digital population. Currently, the University's academic programmes are organized within four Schools namely: School of Business and Economics; School of Medicine and Health Sciences; School of Education and Social Sciences; and School of Science and Technology. Within these, there are 28 academic departments with a total student population of about 8,000 students. Our academic programmes are offered through three primary modes of instruction namely, full-time (face-to-face), open and distance learning, and part-time. The University has well-established campuses in Meru, Nairobi, and Mombasa.
