AlleyRoads is a leading black-owned, national scale property development and construction company specializing in affordable housing and green spaces in underserved areas. Alleyroads has applied for IFC EDGE certification on more than 4 048 properties or approximately 263 233m2 located in various nodes across South Africa. The certification will mark some of the first affordable residential rental housing developments in South Africa to be EDGE certified. In addition to a 10-year track record in South Africa, Alleyroads Group has successfully expanded operations to the USA (Boston), Australia (Perth), New Zealand and Thailand with a development pipeline of approximately 18 000 residential properties in South Africa and internationally/ Alleyroads has an asset base of R1.4 billion and conservative gearing of approximately 30%. The Group remains open to funding negotiations that will allow it to execute on its landbank, off-take development projects and construction buy-outs.
