Ballet Victoria strives to promote and foster emerging dance talent, and inspire a lasting connection and appreciation for dance within our local and global community through our professional performances, educational courses, and community outreach programs. Founded in 2002, Ballet Victoria is a not for profit ballet company and the only professional ballet company on Vancouver Island. With 12 dancers and four yearly productions, our performances are captivating and innovative. Performances range from ballet classics to new contemporary works. From Baroque music to Rock, from Opera to folk songs, our music creates an uncompromising range of choreography. The shows are entertaining, hold great artistic depth, and bring all ages to the theatre. Having produced close to one hundred new works, including 10 full length ballets, and toured in Canada, the USA and Mexico, Ballet Victoria’s artistic team with the direction of Paul Destrooper, is constantly exploring new territory.
