Who we are: NVEEE is a national nonprofit and recognized leader in bullying and suicide prevention. We are a diverse team of educators, business leaders, social workers, mental health professionals, parents, and students who are committed to strengthening communities and resolving the root causes of youth violence and harassment. What we do: NVEEE provides interactive educational dialogues and leadership programs that tackle bullying, mental health, social inequities, and stereotypes, and are designed to surface community-based solutions that support the health and well-being of all youth. Student Peace Ambassadors who complete our comprehensive leadership curriculum often co-facilitate our programs. Awards and Recognitions: NVEEE has been recognized locally and nationally as a champion of youth safety and well-being. • On four occasions, NVEEE has been entered into the Congressional Record: 1) In June 2011 by U.S. Congresswoman Frederica Wilson; 2) In January 2014 by U.S. Congressman and Chair of the Congressional Anti-Bullying Caucus Mike Honda; 3) In February 2014 by U.S. Congresswoman Lois Frankel; and 4) In 2016 by U.S. Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman-Schultz. In 2019, at the invitation of Congressman Alcee Hastings, NVEEE representatives joined legislators and mental health professionals at a Congressional Roundtable on youth mental health challenges and suicide in Florida. In 2019, Commissioner Eileen Higgins declared November 16, 2019, as NVEEE Day in Miami-Dade County to acknowledge the organization’s first ten years of pioneering work on bullying and suicide prevention.
