Established in 2011, Kangopak is a privately-owned producer of stand-up (doy-pack), flat, and spouted pouches that : Safe for the use in Food & Beverage, Industrial, Personal Care, Pet Care and Pharmaceutical industries. Utilised for liquid and dry products that may be sensitive to UV exposure. Re-sealable. Spout fitments. Packaging of liquid and dry products. PRODUCTION Pouches - on average 6 million pouches per month are converted from a range of plain, coated, metalised, and printed laminates manufactured from polyester and linear low-density polyethylene, sourced from 3rd party material suppliers. Production personnel are employed on a 24-hour rotation shift basis. BRCGS Certification and the detailed modular Hazard and Risk Assessment (HARA) comprehensively cover all products, processes and activities. THE FACILITY is located on a site of > 1300 square meters in an established industrial area in Diep River, Cape Town, South Africa. The facility comprises of four automatic pouch-making machines, four automated spout inserting machines and one slitter/rewinding machine. All processes and storage facilities are contained within one building. KEY CUSTOMERS include food processing plants, contract packers and distributors for established South African retailers. DISTRIBUTION is by third-party transport contractor, customer collection and own transport for some local deliveries.
