Established in 1936, TISS is a premier Social Science institution with a vision of impacting society through development and application in a manner that combines excellence with relevance. Over the decades, TISS alumni have been our greatest brand ambassadors - in government agencies, in NGOs, in the corporate sector and as social entrepreneurs. The TISS Hyderabad campus was set up in 2008 at the invitation of the Government of Andhra Pradesh and offers a range of programmes, which include the Bachelors (B.A.), Masters (M.A.), M.Phil and Ph.D courses. The M.A programmes have been developed through extensive consultation with highly experienced scholars and practitioners. Dovetailing theory and fieldwork, the programmes provide a deep understanding and insights into key concepts and issues in the domain while equipping them with relevant skills to engage in work.
