Photo020 is a new initiative in Amsterdam, founded in the spring of 2018 by Barend Houtsmuller and Erik van der Hulst. On the Wednesday evening at Café Restaurant & Theater Vrijburcht, we organize an event where local photographers and other interested parties can share their passion and knowledge in a relaxed environment and can get inspired. WHAT IS IT? Photo020 is a low-key platform where you can make contact with fellow photographers (amateur and professional), suppliers, gallery owners and customers. Every two months we meet at the same location (Café Restaurant & Theater Vrijburcht) from 5:30-11 pm. We eat at 6 pm and at 8 pm we start the evening program. At each meeting we invite an inspiring (guest) speaker who shows his or her work and wants to share the story behind it. We also hold free of charge portfolio reviews by expert photo surveyors. We will hold workshops and master classes in the near future. FOR WHOM? Passionate photographers (professional and amateur) in every stage of their career. But also everyone who is interested in photography as a visual medium.
