The South Central Workforce Development Board was established in 2015 to lead the development and implementation of an innovative, highly effective workforce development system in the ten counties of South Central Kentucky in partnership with business, economic development, education, and community organizations in the labor market area. In doing so, the South Central Workforce Development Board is positioning itself to be a key partner in economic development in the thriving South Central Kentucky region by producing a supply of educated and skilled workers aligned with the needs of current employers, and aligned to the region’s economic development goals for attracting new employers.
