Beijing based Studio HVN is an award winning design practice offering service in spatial and product design. Founded by Dutch designer Henny van Nistelrooy and Zhang Qi, the studio merges contemporary design with Chinese culture. The studio’s design methodology is to deliver exciting ideas based on research and developed through a process of thought and experimentation. We believe in making a positive contribution to people’s work, leisure and living spaces through a design approach that respond to client requirements with original ideas, functionality, and an inspiring contemporary design. Every Studio HVN project is the result of a concept tested to its limits and resolved with elegance, efficiency and skill. Henny van Nistelrooy received his Master degree at the Royal College of Art, London 2007. After 5 years working in London Henny moved Studio HVN to Beijing in 2012. Henny’s work finds recognition in Chinese press and publications as well internationally. He has received an Elle Decoration Award, been finalist in Design Parade at Villa Noailles, Hyres, France, he has been shortlisted for Designer in Residence at London Design Museum amongst others.
