Basic Kindness is a nonprofit organization intent on changing the culture of how society views people impacted by homelessness. We promote awareness about food and housing insecurity by creating opportunities for people to commit acts of kindness through interaction, collaboration, and education. In our work we partner with governments, other non profits, business, organizations, and individuals. We provide small bags of basic necessities for people to carry and share when traveling in areas where they may encounter people experiencing hunger, without shelter, or asking for help. If you have a basic bag or kindness kit and you are at a stop light, on a city street, or in a train station, and someone asks for help; you can share your bag and spread kindness. Our newest program the Basic Kindness Nevis Summer Academy will create learning opportunities for students and teachers in Nevis, West Indies.
