Products for aerospace, defense and commercial aircraft programs are comprised of D.C. Solenoids, Solenoid Valves, Proportional Flow Controls, Anti-ice Valves, Pressure Regulators, Quick Disconnects, Fill & Vent valves, Check Valves, Relief Valves and Squib-Actuated Valves. The Servoid® Valve is also well designed for aircraft applications. It is used primarily for fluid metering in mid-size engine systems to meter the supply of fuel and/or air. South Bend Controls also includes the intellectual property of the Futurecraft Corporation, a company with a long history of designing innovative space and aircraft products that SBC continues to build upon. Additional services are contract cleaning for space products and contract manufacturing of customer designs. SBC maintains FAA repair station certification to keep all of our components and the equipment they are installed on flying into the future. Our most well-known commercial products are in the medical field. Our proportional Servoid® valves allow proportional flow control in devices such as critical care ventilators, anesthesia controllers and sleep apnea equipment . Servoid® Valves offer high open loop accuracy, repeatability, durability and flexibility to meet your specific system needs. Additional applications of SBC proportional valves are in distributed power generation, turbine systems and fuel cells. Our solenoid-operated, Inert Isolation Valves are unsurpassed in control of highly aggressive fluids typically found in clinical chemistry, instrumentation, hemodialysis, and many bio-medical applications. The 2-way and 3-way valves have wetted surfaces made entirely of engineered materials such as PEEK, Ultem® (polyethermide), Radel® R, Viton®-GF or EPDM with FDA and UPS class VI approval. These valves withstand chemical attack by corrosive and biological fluids while remaining inert and maintaining the integrity of the fluid pathway.
