Savage Film, founded in 2007 by Bart Van Langendonck, established itself internationally with Michaël R. Roskam's film ‘Bullhead’, Oscar nominee for Best Foreign Language Film. The company continued to prove itself with Robin Pront’s feature debut ‘The Ardennes’, another Flemish noir, and first-time director Pieter-Jan De Pue’s hybrid docu-fiction ‘The Land of the Enlightened’, which premiered at Sundance. More recently Roskam’s ‘Racer and the Jailbird’ was launched at the Venice and Toronto Film festivals and Tim Mielants won the award for Best Director at Karlovy Vary for his debut film ‘Patrick’. Savage Film (co)produces (international) fiction films, drama series and documentaries with subjects just as versatile as its directors' backgrounds, with the aim to bring author-driven content to a broad audience. It’s based in Zaventem (Belgium) and cooperates with Eyeworks Film & TV Drama (Warner Bros. Group).
