Channel1 Creative Media was born in 1990. Well before DVDs, widescreen TV and streaming video to our phones were thought of. Our purpose back then was to produce a range of generic workplace training videos that would be marketed to Corporate, Educational and Governmental organisations around Australia and New Zealand. In fact, the name Channel 1 was decided on because that was where Australians used to access their video cassette recorders on their televisions sets in 1990. For the first 13 years of our existence, until 2003, Channel 1 also managed the entire production and placement of all advertising for JB Hi Fi. Having produced roughly 400 television commercials over that period as well as countless radio ads, press ads and catalogues certainly armed us with a unique ability to “sell the message”. Move forward 28 years and not only do we boast a suite of over 300 generic training videos and online eLearning training programs but Channel 1 is now the preferred choice of many large and small Australian organisations for corporate video production. A key focus for us has been workplace health and safety, staff development as well as sales and customer service training videos. Many of these videos are now available in self paced online learning.
