The Eda and Cliff Viner Community Scholars Foundation's mission is to educate and inspire compassionate young leaders to develop strong character with a vision for success. Each year, our program provides 4-year scholarships for approximately 25 financially disadvantaged students who will be attending colleges or universities in the State of Florida public educational system. We partner with the following high schools in Boca Raton and Delray Beach: American Heritage, Atlantic Community High School, Boca Raton Community High School, Donna Klein Jewish Academy, Katz Yeshiva High School, Olympic Heights Community High School, Saint John Paul II Academy, Spanish River Community High School, Village Academy Delray, and West Boca Community High School. Currently, the foundation has 75 scholars within it's program. Two incredible features of this program are the detailed mentor-ship and community partnership components. The founders, Eda and Cliff Viner spent over a year researching different foundations prior to forming the scholars foundation. During their discovery they learned that students experience various social and educational pressures during while attending college. Thus they created a detailed mentor-ship program so that each one of their scholars could have a mentor to speak with and gain advice from. The Viner Scholars Foundation also partners with local businesses with in the community to offer students complimentary services while attending university. These services include various medical appointments, counseling, housing and school book grants and more.
