EmpowerU addresses educational disparities by providing students with the resources and tools they need to obtain higher education and improve the quality of their lives. We achieve this by building supportive communities, sharing tools such as scholarships, internships, and summer programs, and incentivizing students to take advantage of these opportunities through the implementation of gamification. According to a study done by Southern New Hampshire University, only 54 percent of students from lower-income schools enrolled in college. Access to Higher Education is already one of the greatest challenges of our generation and COVID has further intensified the problem. EmpowerU wants to revolutionize higher education and reimagine the ed-tech sector to help to empower students and help them find the resources and confidence they need to obtain higher education.
