The Ekurhuleni Jewellery Project (EJP) is a Section 21 NPO (Not for Profit) company incorporated under Section 21 of the Companies Act (registration number: 2008/01734/08) funded by Rand Refinery and SEDA (Small Enterprise Development Agency), and supported by The Jewellery Council of South Africa (JCSA) and The Gauteng Growth and Development Agency (GGDA). EJP was officially launched in 2009 as a training and business incubator programme. At Ekurhuleni Jewellery Project we cater for industry based training skills programmes and develop Small, Medium and Micro Enterprises (SMME) for commercial success. The Ekurhuleni Jewellery project provides support for the industry by providing Industry Based Skills Programmes and has a recognition-of-prior-learning system in its Training for Trade Programmes. These programmes vary in length and have specific outcomes, aligned with the industry requirements and individual development.
