Western Communities Redevelopment Alliance (WCRA), a collaborative strategy focused on increasing economic development capacity. The mission of the WCRA is to create an Eco-System that fosters upward mobility. We are a membership organization that helps create jobs so people can find work, provide for their families and achieve prosperity. Eighty - Five percent of municipalities in Alabama have populations that are Twenty - Five Thousand people or less. Many have potential for Economic Development, but they don’t have the capacity to 1) Tell their Story, 2) Sell their Story, & 3) Package their Value Proposition. The WCRA has come alongside small urban and rural communities to increase economic development capacity.
