Georgie Greene Photography
www.georgiegreenephotography.comI had a big career in broadcast media for 23 years before I followed my creative instinct and passion and finally took that leap of faith and reskilled as a professional photographer. It doesn’t matter how long you have practised photography, it’s all about the photos you produce that showcase your eye for detail, a clever and original composition, and a special play with light. I knew I processed these key elements; it was just a matter of learning about the big posh cameras and lenses and then I was off. I’m a people person and photography is all about people. I love the uniqueness in everybody. My job is never boring, as my subject matter always changes, and I have new challenges and surprises at every photo shoot. It’s also all about the light. Photography means painting with light, and that’s what I love to do. Light is never the same twice, it can be challenging but always beautiful when you know how to see it. Mobile and video have taken over our World, but the candid photos they take, aren’t of great quality, where images are too compressed for social media and web use, and they won’t stand the test of time. Nothing beats a well-crafted, high-quality still shot, that tells its own story. As an ex-corporate employee and now a professional photographer, I understand both sides of the lens. I still feel that competitive drive to present yourself in the best light professionally with the right photographic portrayal, to either relaunch yourself into the marketplace or stake your claim within your profession. I like to work closely with everyone, whether it’s a headshot or a portrait to capture the right image that creates the confidence to move forward.
