JPJ-Wood was founded in 1994. At first a log sorting line and a dimension plant was built and logs were sawn by a rented saw on wheels. In 1997 a fixed sawline was completed and during the next 10 years annual sawn timber volume increased evenly to the level of 100 000 m3 During years 2006-2016 JPJ-Wood has done extensive investments and modernizations. Most important was all new sawline, capable to handle and saw efficiently logs from 12 cm thind end up to 40 cm. In 2016 annual capacity will grow to over 150 000 m3 of sawn timber in two working shifts. Majority of our production is exported to the countries of Europe, North Africa, Middle East and Asia. High quality raw material is acquired within a 150 km radius of the sawmill and it is 100 % Finnish. JPJ-Wood aims to be dynamic and reliable company in the traditional field of sawmilling. Our philosophy is to do our part in wood processing efficiently and tailored to the custumer’s needs. We pay special attention to exact use of valuable raw material and to wood harvesting and processing in the way of sustainable deveploment. As a family company our ambition is that our working environmet is united, informal and goal-oriented. This makes our work quality good and creates good relationships with our customers and partners.
