Our Mission: The CARE Project, Inc. is a non-profit organization created by a breast cancer survivor to emotionally and financially support male and female breast cancer patients. Emotional Support includes, but is not limited to: *Survivor Social Club - A small group of breast cancer survivors who socialize once monthly and encourage, inspire and uplift one another in a fun environment, not clinical. Social Club meetings are in English & Spanish. We also have a METAVIVORS group for those who have received a metastatic diagnosis. *One to one Survivor Mentorships - Newly diagnosed patients are paired up with a "seasoned survivor" who will provide one to one support, outside of the Survivor Social Club events/get togethers. Financial Support includes, but is not limited to: *Rental assistance *Utility assistance *Fuel Cards/Uber or Lyft Cards - To assist with transportation costs during treatment *Groceries *Copays Our newest initiative is a WELLNESS PROGRAM comprised of professionals who volunteer their time to support our Social Club Members with the following: *Nutrition *Fitness training/assessments *Yoga 4 Cancer classes *Reiki *Massage Therapy *Stress Management and Mindfulness Other items offered: LympheDivas compression sleeves, gauntlets and gloves. All financial assistance is based on our current budget at the time the need is presented to TCP. Diagnosis verification will be required.
