Nashville Made
www.nashvillemade.usNashvilleMade is a social enterprise sponsored by the Arts & Business Council of Greater Nashville a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation, established in 2018 and headquartered Nashville. It is uniquely focused on building Nashville’s economic base by connecting a community of manufacturers, makers, associations, educational institutions, workers, and students. Our mission is to make way for makers and manufacturers in Nashville. Our vision is a diverse and sustainable local maker economy, where companies who design and manufacture one or more products prosper. NashvilleMade collaborates with entrepreneurs and grow-minded companies, all of whom are headquartered in and manufacture within Davidson County, offering education, networking opportunities, and introductions to local talent and resources. We also work with manufacturers and makers directly on workforce matters, including connecting companies to local hiring, certifications, and job training programs. NashvilleMade engages with the larger Nashville community, offering educational workshops, factory/maker tours, and other programs designed to heighten the public awareness of advanced and artisanal manufacturing, the craftspeople they employ, and their connected role in Greater Nashville’s economy. NashvilleMade seeks to make space form making things by working with public and private sectors to define, sustain, and improve local infrastructure – from access to capital to industrial and mixed land use policy – required to support a vibrant manufacturing and maker community.
