By following a community-driven process, it is Apiary CC's hope that our clients can experience how the public and private sectors can invest in and create spaces for all residents, particularly for those who are historically underrepresented in the decision-making and implementation processes. We offer a special focus on creating plans and strategies that address local needs & priorities, particularly around housing. We have a passion for housing affordability, community development, and planning for inclusive communities. We believe that true equity may only ever be achieved when equitable development strategies put the existing community in control of land use and other aspects of planning and development. We focus on planning, evaluation, and strategic initiatives that are participatory in nature, using methodologies that prioritize the voices of those whose perspectives are often excluded from the decision-making process. We have familiarity with both local and federal housing policy tools, including inclusionary zoning, HOME & HUD guidance and regulations, Fair Housing Planning, as well as emerging housing challenges. We are eager to work with people, groups, and entities that are driven by their values and mission.
