The mission of Az4Solar is to promote development of a Solar Economy that will create thousands of sustainable high-wage jobs in Arizona. In Arizona, a thriving ecosystem based on semiconductor manufacturing, called the “Silicon Desert,” developed from the 1970’s to the 1990’s as Motorola, Intel, Micrpchip and others made significant investments in manufacturing. Arizona is presented with an exceptional opportunity to supplement our declining semiconductor economy with a vibrant solar-based economy.
