The Investment Society has been created in 2015 with the main aims of • providing members with the opportunity to experience investment techniques through a unique and inclusive asset manager-based model, allowing any student at the university to research, pitch and vote on investment decisions, • releasing a termly magazine that includes messages from our sponsors and their campus opportunities, as well as a summary of our portfolio performance, financial news, and articles written by contributors of the society, • complementing these with competitions, career advice talks, educational series such as the traditional Trading Education Certificate, and inviting industry experts to educate members on a broad range of topics within finance, • providing opportunity for our members to network directly with financial services firms through workers in the industry. We also aim to aid our members in applying for internships and graduate schemes in the financial industry.
