The Coalition for National Trauma Research is a non-profit organization formed in 2014 by leaders of America's preeminent trauma organizations--AAST, ACS-COT, EAST, ABA and WTA. With the support and participation of the national trauma community, CNTR advocates for and manages funding for trauma research. It is a national coordinating center for trauma research funding, building on the accomplishments of the former National Trauma Institute, which, since 2006, secured and/or managed $90 million for the trauma research community.
