www.gnrchospitals.comFounded in 1985 by Dr. Nomal Chandra Borah – the son of an impoverished marginal farmer in India’s remote north-eastern state of Assam, GNRC is the first super specialty healthcare facility in North East India. GNRC presently operates three hospitals, providing quality, affordable medical care to over 250,000 out-patients and 25,000 in-patients annually. Together, the three campuses provide medical care in over 60 specializations and account for over 500 beds for in-patients. The British Standard Institute, London, has accredited the GNRC as ISO 14001:2008 compliant. GNRC’s North Guwahati campus, popularly known as GNRC Medical, was chosen by the World Bank Group (WBG), through its India Development Marketplace (IDM) initiative, to receive a grant of US$150,000 for capacity building and expansion. GNRC Hospitals has signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Singapore General Hospital to facilitate productive exchange of information, knowledge and skill of the doctors, nurses, therapists and other ancillary healthcare services.
