These franchise owners get to be their own boss and start their own business in a growing pest-control industry. All 14 of our locations are owned and operated by local men and women with an established brand helping them along the way. In 2008, ohDEER created Take Initiative, Check Kids (T.I.C.K.) to teach kids and their families about tick-borne illnesses and ways to prevent them. Not long after, we created Take Initiative, Check K9s (T.I.C.K9) to educate dog owners about tick safety and keeping ticks away from our best friends. We work with local preschools, daycares, vets and dog shelters to make sure those in our community are aware of ticks and the diseases and dangers they bring to our families.
