Botanika's inspiration came from a fierce and elegant woman who breathed fashion and although never made it her career, she made it her lifestyle. She always reinvented her looks and knew how to make outfits her own. She was a true believer that a woman has to love what she is wearing in order to walk with confidence and stand out above the rest. This same woman was also very spiritual and would always bring me to various shops also known as botanicas; where you can find herbs, crystals, and other elements of all kinds that are meant to cleanse your soul and energy. Every color and texture found in these shops had a symbolic meaning. This woman was my mother. Though life ended too early for her, through her death Botanika (with a K) was born in New York City. Botanika is a womenswear brand that is timeless and chic, but most importantly offers a spiritual and cultural experience through fashion. Botanika collections don’t follow trends.
