Hand-Woven Madagascar Silk Scarves and Shawls. In the town of Soatanana (literally meaning "Good Town") the women of the Lovasoa Cooperative craft these textiles using techniques that have been handed down, mother-to-daughter, for generations. Founder, Kyley Schmidt, designs each style in North Carolina, and created Peace Goods to serve as the main outlet for this unique artform . Each scarf sold supports Madagascar weavers and their families.
