Established in 1980, Pittsburgh Flight Training Center (PFTC) is Pittsburgh's largest and longest-standing flight school - serving the Pittsburgh area for over 30 years. Professionally trained flight instructors and staff will exceed your expectations and help you obtain your professional or recreational goals. PFTC is located just minutes from downtown Pittsburgh at the Allegheny County Airport (KAGC). Open seven days a week, typically between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., to accommodate your busy schedule. Additionally, Pittsburgh Flight Training Center boasts a fully-stocked pilot shop, full-service maintenance department, and on-site customer service to fulfill all of your flight training needs. PFTC, in association with the Community College of Allegheny County, is proud to offer an Associate of Science degree in Aviation Technology. For Pennsylvania residents, a significant state assistance program is guaranteed to make your training among the most affordable in the nation. Many PFTC-trained pilots are now working in the airline industry, at corporate charter companies, or training other pilots as a Certified Flight Instructor. Pittsburgh Flight Training Center now offers Garmin 1000 (G-1000) "glass-cockpit" training. Our state-of-the-art, G-1000-equipped aircraft feature all of the technology found in most modern jets.
