Pettit Companies is comprised of multiple family owned and operated companies today. In 1963, we went into business best known as Pettit & Griffin, Inc which was founded by John H. Pettit. Now in its third generation the company has several unique divisions: Land & Excavation Services, Property Management & Leasing Services as well as a past history of residential home building. Our Excavation and Land Development division operates as Pettit Development, LLC , which provides excavation services for many of the largest Metro Area Builders as well as individuals as well. Lastly, the Leasing and Property Management division operates under Pettit Management Services, Inc. which oversees retail, office and warehouse/flex space in Washington Metro Area. Pettit Management Services also manages business and commercial condominium associations in Montgomery County.
