The Centre For Excellence was established as a research centre of NMIMS Kirit P. Mehta School of Law, Mumbai in 2018. The Centre aims at understanding and improving the quality of research & development in all legal spheres alongwith propogating legal values. We, at Centre of Excellence, are constantly aiming at promoting research in various legal and interdisciplinary fields by involving a variety of stakeholders, wherein one can not only enhance their awareness, but also interact and exchange ideas and critically evaluate the functioning of various legal policies and frameworks- and make recommendations to various policy making institutions for an effective implementation of the existing legal provisions. We are, therefore, very proud to be the torch bearers of new and exciting ideas, innovation and working towards getting easily accessible justice for all. With this aim in our mind, in our short stint, we've conducted events on Research Methodology Workshops in order to make students understand about various research methods & motivate them to explore the field as a career option. These workshops, has definately boosted students to research and write more, present and publish their papers at various conferences, seminars, law reviews etc. Anually we also host NMIMS School of Law National Seminar. From past two years we have successfully hosted on the theme of Environmental Law and Policy & Feasibilty of Uniform Civil Code in India. We had discussions on various policies by people from eminent institutions, legal practitioners and students. Also, we didn't limit ourselves to theoretical discussions but have gone ahead and implemented our ideas through campaigns like- #EcofriendlySOL. This year too, we aim to strive new heights and promote legal and interdisciplinary research among all students.
