The Yoe Fire Co. Ambulance Service Inc. was founded by members of the Yoe Fire Company in October, 1972, we changed our name to York Regional Emergency Medical Services in October of 2013. York Regional EMS serves a primary population of 30,000 people residing in four municipalities. Those municipalities include Yoe Borough, Dallastown Borough, Windsor Township and York Township. We operate from two stations, the Yoe Fire Co. No. 1 in Yoe Borough (MICU 36) and the Goodwill Fire Co. No. 1 in York Township (MICU 19). We provide 24-hour a day transport capable Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulance service from each station. A second unit is staffed at the Yoe Borough station from 6 AM to 6 PM, during week-days, in order enhance the level of service provided during this high demand time period. York Regional EMS is a non-profit, 501(c)3, charitable organization incorporated in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. We are licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Health and we are dispatched by the York County 911 Center. In order to remain available for emergencies, we no longer offer scheduled routine ambulance transportation. In 2012 we responded to exactly 4,000 emergency calls.
