Round Lake is located in northwest Lake County. As of the 2010 census, the village had a total population of 18,289. The current Mayor is Daniel A. MacGillis. Founded in 1908, Round Lake is steeped in history and surrounded with opportunity. Round Lake provides the best options for housing, education, recreation, business, and transit. Round Lake is also home to the Round Lake Area Public Library, the Round Lake Area Park District, and the Greater Round Lake Fire Protection District.
