The Energy Policy Institute of Australia ( EPIA) is an apolitical, not-for-profit, energy policy body which provides a mechanism by which all stakeholders in Australian energy may collaborate on risks and concerns impacting on energy finance, production, supply and export, where those risks may not have been fully addressed by existing industry organisations. The EPIA acknowledges all environmental concerns as well as the paramount interest of the public in having access to affordable, clean and secure energy. The EPIA regularly publishes public policy papers, opinion pieces, and submissions to Government. The Institute holds regular events, including the annual Energy State of the Nation and briefings as well as closed table forums for members. The Institute works closely with the US Energy Association and other leading international energy bodies to share innovative discussion and thought leadership on effective energy policy initiatives. EPIA also supports young professionals who work in the energy industry through the Future Energy Leaders program. Further initiatives of the EPIA include the Energy Exchange Series. Since 2011, this a series of breakfast addresses held in Brisbane, Queensland, to facilitate constructive, informed and robust debate on energy and climate policy at local and international level. The Series and is presented in partnership by The University of Queensland and the Energy Policy Institute of Australia.
