There are significant challenges for the industry to consistently attain the requisite levels of quality of the built form. To meet this challenge, the Institute of Quality Construction (IQC) was formed provide leadership to improve the level of quality delivered across the industry. The aim of the IQC is to identify existing quality challenges and pre-empt burgeoning industry-wide quality problems and promote solutions to contractors, subcontractors, designers, clients and end-users. In the short term, the IQC will: - Provide leadership on quality issues; - Lobby government and the regulators on how to improve quality outcomes; & - Coordinate its views with other industry representative bodies.
