Our VSB battery has the following characteristics : (1) Zero risk of burning and explosion (2) Permanent life-cycle (3) Zero heat generation (4) Ultra-short charging is possible (theoretically in seconds) (5) Easy to recycle (6) Low cost (7) Vanadium is the only metal used. The prototype was completed last fall, and PoC of cell has been completed. Currently, we are developing modules and process of mass production. Process of this battery is simple, same as electric double-layer capacitor. But for more effective production, we are trying to design our own mass production process. The VSB battery development was carried out by Green Energy Solutions GK, a direct subsidiary of MK PLUS Co., Ltd. being established in tandem with the investment from European angel investors. As a parent company, MK PLUS will work on many initiatives for the development of the VSB battery business. We are developing applications using the VSB battery with partners in many countries such as the United States, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Portugal, UAE, and Africa. In order to secure vanadium resources, we are also working on establishing JV with Canadian mining companies. Applications include industrial storage batteries of solar photovoltaic generation and wind power generation, EVs, flying cars, mobile batteries, aerospace and the like. [Growth strategy] The geographic areas planned to be targeted are in the priority order of EU, North America, Middle East, Africa, India and Japan. In any such market, there will be a lot of demand for renewable energy power generation at the TW (terawatt) level. [Production plan and cost policy] From the latter half of 2023, we will start supplying VSB producing either in-house or with OEM method. In the 2028 fiscal year, sales will reach the 1 trillion yen level and the cost target will be achieved.
