Ironically, I started All 15 designs as a way to fill time. I was fresh out of college and working at an architecture firm when the great recession hit. While I was fortunate to keep my job, my hours were slowly scaled back and I was sitting around at home with little to do. I am not the type of person who handles boredom well. My girlfriend at the time suggested I try making things and selling them online. In school, I made tables, bookshelves, light fixtures, and other furniture for my apartment but never anything I considered "sellable". My search began for something other people would want. It is difficult for me to say how I chose clocks as my signature products. I remember looking at other designs online and thinking I can make that better. I spent an entire summer sketching, modeling, and experimenting with materials. My first workshop was a small apartment balcony barely large enough for two chairs. Eventually, I scraped together enough resources to launch my first four products in August of 2009.
