Dature Consulting and Dataworks was founded in 2013 by a group of research and Information Technology (IT) specialists who have worked in both the private and public sector and are keenly interested in social and economic development with a particular focus on SMMEs of South Africa. We are currently living in an ever changing socio-economic environment, therefore information plays a critical role in key policy decisions making. There are a number of general barriers to entry and challenges that are faced by SMMEs in South Africa which include: Lack of capacity to undertake market research, resulting in a lack of information/understanding of market needs and characteristics; and lack of ability to develop an acceptable business plan. For this reason Dature Consulting & Dataworks was established to bridge the information gap through cutting edge research and IT solutions for SMMEs
