Major League Golf (MLG) is a sports organization focused on opening the game of golf to a broader audience of sports fans and offering professional golfers an alternative way to be compensated and compete at the highest level. Unlike the individual player focus of today’s PGA tours, MLG is a league of professional golf teams from numerous cities that compete for team prize money, team championships, and team glory. The inaugural season of this entertaining and highly competitive league begins in August 2021 culminating with the first Major League Golf World Series, October 2021. Designed to leverage the need for growth and change in golf, MLG will appeal to a much broader base and demonstrate that golf is no longer a stuffy, time consuming, exclusive, and boring sport. MLG games will have a blue collar feel and attract fans of every gender, race and age. MLG games are also played at a much quicker pace (under 3.5 hours) and will feel inclusive, infused with exciting fan interaction and entertainment both on and off the course. Major League Golf will not only welcome a team sports fan base but will also create new job opportunities for professional players as well as thousands of supporting roles hired for the teams and events.
