Independent Music Academy began as Brisbane Independent Music Academy in 1997. We were Brisbane’s first music school to focus on adult education and also the Brisbane’s first music school to formally teach Rock, Pop, Metal and Blues. Over the years we have taught thousands of adults and children including members of Dead Letter Circus, Powderfinger, The Butterfly Effect and Butterfingers. We’re first call live musical consultants for B105 and MMM radio stations and the Bridge To Brisbane and Mother’s Day Classic fun runs and have been an integral part of B105 Christmas Appeals since 2008. As part of our retail/import brand Independent Music Products we regularly consult for Karnivool, Dead Letter Circus, Brett Garsed (John Farnham) Michael Dolce (The Voice/Delta Goodrem) and Brett Kingman (James Reyne).
