Rockville Recreation and Parks Foundation, Inc. (RRPFI) was created as a result of scholarship requests for recreation activities from families experiencing financial hardship during the financial downturn of 2008. RRPFI is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization comprised of volunteers whose mission is to assist with funding and facilitation efforts to improve recreation activities, opportunities, and facilities in the City of Rockville, Maryland. The City of Rockville strives to be responsible stewards of taxpayer funds and has several important priorities. The Foundation provides scholarship assistance for families in need. Additionally, it bridges the gap and provides resources for needed equipment or supplies.
