The local chapter of the European Law Students' Association (ELSA) at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), formed in September 2016. We aim to provide members of LSE's Student Union with the various opportunities that ELSA offers, including delegations at intergovernmental organisations, legal traineeships abroad through the STEP programme, mooting experience through international competitions in cooperation with the WTO and the ECtHR, legal research experience, specialised summer law schools, and so much more. ELSA LSE SU was founded in 2016 as an initative group and has gained affiliation with LSE's Student Union. It attained formal Observership status within the ELSA United Kingdom network at the National Council Meeting in Exeter in October 2017, and aims to become full members at the National Council Meeting in Stirling in March 2018.
