Instituto Fazer Acontecer - IFA [Make It Happen Institute], is a NGO that promotes the development of young people between the ages of 10 and 17 from poor and marginalized areas of Salvador and Semi-arid region in Bahia, Brazil. IFA involves these young people in values-based sports instruction programs, supplemented by participatory citizenship classes. IFA‘s programs use sports as an entry point to reinforce values such as teamwork, discipline, solidarity, well-being, and engages them in workshops and other activities on the rights and responsibilities of citizens as leaders in the community.
