Kunsthuis SYB offers contemporary artists an opportunity to develop their work during a six week period in Kunsthuis SYB, in the small Frisian town of Beetsterzwaag. Artists are encouraged to conduct research, to experiment and to start new collaborations. During their residency at SYB, they are supported by the team of SYB, which consists of a director, an artists committee, writers, historians, and local volunteers. During residencies, guests are welcome to visit the artists on weekends, from 1 - 5pm (free entrance). Kunsthuis SYB also organizes presentations, screenings, excursions and other events.
