CAML Academy
www.camlacademy.comCAML Academy provides summer camps, track out camps and after school clubs that teach K-12 students computer science. At CAML Academy, we believe that learning to program should be a rich learning experience for young people. Our goal is not only to teach children to “learn to code”, but also to “code to learn.” Our students are taught strategies for solving problems, designing projects, and communicating ideas. Our students learn how to divide complex problems into simpler parts, how to refine and improve their work, how to remix and build on the work of others, and how to persevere in the face of challenges. As a member of International Society of Technology in Education (ISTE) and Computer Science Teachers Association (CSTA), we work with national organizations and institutes like code.org, scratchEdu, CSTA, ISTE etc. to advocate and support education in computer science and other computing disciplines. After School Club topics: Minecraft Modding with Java or Blockly Minecraft Redstone Engineering 3D Modeling & Printing Robotics Digital Media Video Game & App Design Computer Science Fundamental Skills Code.org & Scratch Programming Summer/Track Out Camps: -Minecraft® Mod Development (Ages 5+) -Minecraft® Redstone & Commands (Ages 9+) -3D Modeling and Printing (Ages 9+) -3D Animation (Ages 5+) -ComputerCraft -Game Art & Design
