Since 1990, Communities In Schools of Wake County has partnered with Wake County schools to support positive outcomes for students. CIS Wake is the local affiliate of the nation's largest organization dedicated to empowering at-risk students to stay in school and on a path to a brighter future. We believe that relationships, not programs, change the trajectory of at-risk students' lives. CIS Wake amplifies the power of each student's potential by connecting them to caring adults and community resources designed to help them succeed. We're by their side everyday, supporting them in ways that go beyond the classroom. We do whatever it takes to ensure that all kids, regardless of the challenges they may face, have what they need to realize their potential.
